Be a Published Artist!

Artistic readers, young and old, have a chance to be a contributing author to a published book. All who submit drawings will receive a certificate of participation and discount certificates  A number of illustrations will be selected for publication in special editions of the Tales from the Woods of Wisdom. The artists of the selected pictures will receive 3 free copies of the edition in which their drawing is included, and will be able to purchase additional copies for friends and family at a discounted price. Artist’s names will appear with their drawings in the books and at the publisher's website, beachhousebooks.com. An effort will be made to include works of artists from different age groups, and ages of artists under 21 will be in the credits, unless the artist requests otherwise. Honorable mention winners will have their contributions displayed at the website even if they aren't included in books. Some selected illustrations may be included in future editions, but this is not guaranteed. Entries should be submitted to BeachHouse Books by December 31, 2001, but the author reserves the right to extend the deadline at his discretion. Winners will be announced at the website by February 15, 2002.
 
 

1. Illustrations should be black and white drawings suitable for reproduction.
2. Illustrations may be of any character(s) depicted in the book.
3. Illustrations that portray action are encouraged.
4. Artists may submit multiple drawings.
5. All entries must be original work of the artist, free of copyrighted material.
6. All submissions become the property of the author, Richard Tichenor.
7. If your drawing is used, you will receive recognition in the book, at the website, and three complimentary copies of the book for compensation. All entrants will receive a certificate of recognition and valuable discount coupons.
8. A copy of this form (photocopies okay) signed by the artist must accompany all submissions.
9. If the artist is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must also sign the form.
